Inspection reports
The scored pre-purchase inspection and how its rules work.
An Inspection Report brings together the readings collected for a vehicle and shows the evidence behind its assessment. You can review it on screen, save it as a PDF or keep a structured copy with your records.
Read the result#
The report may show a score and one of four results: Sound, Advisories, Attention or Inconclusive. It considers available battery, fault-code, 12 V and vehicle-consistency evidence. The findings explain which readings affected the result and which are notes only. A score is an interpretation of the data captured, not a certificate that every part of the car was inspected.
If a key reading such as battery State of Health is missing, the report can be Inconclusive rather than assigning a reassuring score. Coverage gaps are listed so you can see what was not checked. A provisional reading also deserves care: its interpretation may need more verification for that vehicle.
Review and export#
On screen, switch between Summary and Full report. The PDF export offers three document templates: an executive inspection, a battery-focused report and a technical dossier. Their contents depend on what the scan actually captured. A battery-focused template cannot supply a missing cell reading or turn a sample website capacity figure into a measurement.
Before exporting, review the VIN masking and optional content choices. Location is included only if you enable it. You can add a note or mark a finding as excluded; the report keeps that exclusion visible. A stored report can be reopened and rescored using the app's current rules, which may produce a different interpretation from the original one. Keep the original result when comparing assessments over time.
